Welcome to Amortentia! We're a unique personified animation site set in the HP universe. The second semester is in full swing, the Yule Ball is finished complete with our royalty poll, the Goblet of Fire ceremony has been conducted, and our champions for the Triwizard Tournament have been selected! The first task will be under way beginning in March. In the meantime we are wrapping up a Valentine's Hogsmeade Weekend and the champions are preparing themselves for the first task. The effects of an illegal truth serum finding its way into the punch bowl at the Yule Ball have rippled their way through the populace, resulting in the firing of two staff members and friendships made and broken. So fall into place and let your own stories unwind!
Like the medieval jester her name resembles, Harleen's kooky personality has lead many patient to health. After all, laughter is the best medicine. As such, Harleen believes, overdosing people on laughing gas can only be beneficial.
Peppy and childish, it's easy to think her eccentricities are merely a cute personality quirk. In truth, though, Harleen's mental state is anything but stable, and could push her over the edge.
With a true desire to help people, Harleen is a good listener and a steadfast friend. She just...goes about things the wrong way. I mean, how could Harleen know you weren't immune to the poisonous plant she gave you for your birthday?
Harleen's main calling is therapy, and though she is a medi-witch, she prefers to talk to her patients to find out what's bothering them. This can be problematic, however, as nothing ends well when an insane woman tries to cure your mental problems.
An obsessive, Harleen is hopelessly in love with her puddin' Mr. J. Though he's horribly abusive to her, Harleen can't stay mad at him and always forgives him, though she normally holds horrible, violent grudges.
With a genius-level intellect, it's no surprise that Harleen would be interested in science. After all, who else was going to figure out why her father did things that landed him in Azkaban?
Though both of her parents are wizards, Harleen and her brother Bartimus were raised in a small muggle town, where they lived a comfortable, middle-class life. That is, until Harleen found out why things were so comfortable despite the fact that her father didn't even have a full time job.
A skilled conman, Nick Quinzel used his magic to trick the muggles and take advantage of them. A small slip-up, however, had him caught by the Misuse of Muggle Artifacts Department, and he was sent to Azkaban. Determined to help her father, Harleen took muggle college classes on top of her Hogwarts education, earning a degree in psychology and well as becoming a trained medi-witch.
Her mental instability remained hidden away until the unfortunate death of her boyfriend, Guy Kopski, who was a victim of a mysterious poison (which surprisingly was not done by Harley herself.)
She then worked harder than ever on her studies, madly deciding that she would find a way to cure everything, no matter what twisted method she had to use.
It was shortly after this that she met Mr. J, and the two began an occasionally one-sided love affair. The enamored Harleen takes anything that Mr. J, throws (both literally and figuratively) at her, obsessively unable to remain mad at him.
She recently secured a job as a nurse at Hogwarts. Harleen is excited to have so many young [slash]test subjects[/slash] patients.
Harleen Frances Quinzel is her actual full name, though most people only know her as Harley Quinn. All family connections are accurate. Her brother, here named Bartimus, is called Barry in the comics, and her father is a conman in the comics and Harley's inspiration for becoming a psychiatrist. Guy was her boyfriend, and did die from poisoning, though in the comics it was Joker Venom, and inspired her to believe she could cure the Joker, not to experiment on people.
She is, of course, known for her relationship with the Joker, which, though adapted due to the lack of an Arkham, is present.
Harley of the comics is not above killing people over slights, and even goes after the Joker at times, though she always forgives him at the last minute. She is shown to hold deep grudges in the verse as well, and to never be able to stay mad at her puddin'.

Between Harley and Law, the students of Hogwarts are going to be terrified of seeking medical attention. XD I adore her!
